Traditional Chinese Jewelry Box in Red Lacquered Wood, Brass and Jade Plaques — 20th Century Important engraved brass metalwork (corner braces, endless knot motifs, top handle with the Shou longevity symbol and a clasp for a padlock). Front doors and side panels adorned with jade plaques featuring a lotus motif (or hardstone) carved in relief. Two swinging doors opening onto three stacked drawers, completed by a large drawer in the lower part. Interior lined with embroidered factory silk fabric. Beautiful patina of use. Brass well preserved. Jade plaques intact. Slight natural wear to the lacquer and to the interior textile lining. The photos are an integral part of the description.
