Jewellery box - Porcelain - Decorated jewelry-box egg

The Fabergé-style egg-shaped jewelry box is made of Sevres porcelain, marked on the bottom "France , Simbolo S di Sevres e Chateau des Tuilleries" and from the Napoléon III period (approximately 1860). Characteristic of the period is the gilded bronze trimming and the metal closure. The base is cobalt blue with rich finishes and floral motifs in gilt. The amorous scene is hand-painted and signed at the bottom right (GILBERT), all, once again, typical of the period. The two interiors are also hand-decorated with floral motifs -
