Jersey City, New Jersey. $10 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 482. Third NB. Charter #3680. PMG Very Fine 30. Representative of a charter that had organized in 1887 and later fell to liquidation in 1915. This mid-grade Series of 1882 $10 Brown Back represents a population of 22 non-institutional notes where examples of this type are surprisingly well-represented among the survivors. There this example is recorded among a handful of $10s and features the penned signatures of Cashier J.H. Castens and (Vice) President Henry Lembeck which remain distinctly original and allow this note to stand distinct in visual and technical terms lending it something sure to be appreciated by someone who specializes in New Jersey National Bank Notes. PMG comments "Trimmed." Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Click here for certification details from PMG.
