Jennifer McCurdy Carved Porcelain Sculptural Gourd Vessel

A contemporary sculptural vessel by artist Jennifer McCurdy, featuring a bulbous organic form referred to as a gourd or onion nest. The piece is crafted from fine white porcelain and features intricate, hand-carved reticulated openwork. The flowing, flame-like pattern creates a delicate pierced body that tapers toward a narrow neck, which terminates in a crown-like arrangement of five pointed projections. The ceramic surface has a matte, unglazed bisque finish. Provenance is established by several labels on the base, including a light blue sticker printed R.A.A.C. 550 and a circular silver-toned label from the Rubin Collection with a handwritten 2013 date. The vessel is signed by the artist on the underside. Dimensions: 4.00"L x 4.00"W x 6.50"H Dimensions: 4.00"L x 4.00"W x 6.50"H Weight: 5.50oz Condition Request Condition Report Good
