Jardinière (2) - A pair of antique hammered copper wall...

Beautiful and decorative pair of antique wall jardinières, made of hammered copper and equipped with richly worked brass fittings featuring graceful scroll ornaments. The copper holders have a nice, lively hand-hammered texture and are adorned on the front with a decorative cartouche. Inside are the metal inner basins, intended for placing small plants or flowers. The whole presents a very decorative, historicising appearance and forms a handsome symmetrical pair. Because of the combination of copper and brass, these jardinières are suitable both as plant holders and as purely decorative wall pieces. Period: presumably late 19th – early 20th century Style: historicising / Neo-Renaissance Material: copper and brass, with metal inner basins Quantity: 2 pieces Height: approx. 26 cm each Diameter: approx. 13 cm each The jardinières are in used antique condition, with visible signs of aging, patina, and small irregularities appropriate to their age. Look closely at the photos; they are part of the description. A particularly decorative pair for the admirer of antique copper and brass.
