Japanese Type 99 Long Rifle 7.7mm Arisaka

Japanese Type 99 Long Rifle chambered in 7.7x58mm Arisaka, serial 3176, manufactured by Nagoya Arsenal, circa 1940. Scarce early long-rifle variant. Approximately 31-1/4" barrel with Imperial chrysanthemum on receiver. Bolt-action rifle with wood s tock, ladder rear sight and protected front sight. Rear sight is missing its folding anti-aircraft wings. Dust cover, cleaning rod and monopod are absent. Right side of buttstock is carved and painted with a Japanese rising sun motif and additional markings. Finish shows loss, oxidation, scratches and handling wear; stock has scattered scratches, dents and wear. Carved rising sun motif on right side. Stock has a crack and loss towards the front and rear has some hairlines. Bore is slightly f rosted with defined rifling. See images. shipping info This item can be shipped in-house.
