Spöhler is known for his depictions of seasonal Dutch landscapes, where he frequently depicted sailboats, windmills, fishermen, ice skaters and sleds in the snow. He lived and worked in Amsterdam, and his works, full of romantic idealization, stand out for their delicate brushstrokes that highlight the calm and beauty of the natural landscape. Signed.
