Offered are 11 of the 30 Verkade picture albums that were published between 1903 and 1940 by Bakkerij ‘De Ruyter’ of the firm Verkade & Comp. in Zaandam (eventually without the bakery’s name). The albums were written by Jac. P. Thijsse, except number 9, which was written by A.J. van Laren. The pictures of the albums, respectively the band designs, were made by Sam van Beek, Jac. J. Koeman, Edzard Koning, Jan van Oort, Cornelis Rol, Henricus Rol, Jan Voerman Jr. and L.W.R. Wenckebach. In the Texel album there is a nice exlibris by Lotte Ruting. All albums are first editions and complete.
