The territory is described through a dense network of inhabited centers, waterways and reliefs represented in perspective. It includes part of Savoy, Lombardy and the Ligurian coast. Title within an ornate cartouche, scale of miles at the bottom and a sailing ship in the Ligurian Sea. State of conservation: a brownened specimen, with folds, creases and defects of the support. The central fold shows an opening with separation of the leaves, particularly evident in the lower portion. In the central area affected by brown coloring there is marked embrittlement of the paper, branched fractures and small losses, with interruption of the engraved image. An elaborate cartouche encloses the title and the reference to Gastaldi; a second cartouche contains the scale of Italian miles. A sailing vessel decorates the surface of the Ligurian Sea. Numerous previous restoration interventions, carried out in a rough manner by applying strips and paper patches to the verso. A missing portion of the Latin text on the verso has been reconstructed in pen on a laid sheet applied, clearly distinguishable from the original print. There are halos and color non-uniformities in correspondence with the repairs.
