Rare and complete historical lot of an Industrial Privative (Official Patent) issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Italy between 1915 and 1917. The patent concerns a scientific-military innovation named "Microtelescope" (formally registered as "Optical enlargement system"), conceived by inventor Mr. Maurizio Barricelli in Rome. The invention enabled extremely high magnifications for observing distant objects by combining two objectives and an eyepiece, drastically reducing costs compared to the prism binoculars of the era. The lot is exceptionally complete and includes: • Original period folder with handwritten title "Microtelescope". • Official Privative (Diploma) Certificate of September 3, 1917 (No. 157/430 - Reg. Gen. No. 150251) with the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Italy and fiscal stamps. • Ministerial Deposit Report dated August 24, 1915 (the country had entered the war a few months earlier), signed by the ministerial Secretary E. Filibeck. • Technical description and formal Claim in duplicate, with dry stamps of the Ministry and original fiscal stamps of the era. • Splendid original Cyanography (Blueprint) with the geometric and optical diagram of the light rays, signed by the inventor. • Colored geometric plates (red/blue) showing the planar development of the instrument’s metal components. • Official letterhead sheet of the "Supreme Command - Press and Propaganda Office (Photo-Cinematographic Section)", testifying to the strong military interest in the project during World War I. • Typewritten French document from the era illustrating tactical applications as a lightweight military binocular for discovering enemy lines and for gun pointing. State of preservation: Excellent for the era. Paper beautifully patinated by time, text perfectly legible, stamps clear and fiscal marks intact. A unique museum piece for collectors of history of science, vintage optics, and World War I militaria."
