Italian Shell Cameo With Putti in the Clouds, Florence ca. 1950

They frolic, the little putti on the present Italian shell cameo. In innocent nudity, the three children show themselves above the clouds, one of them only lightly covered with a waving cloth. A little man stands on a carriage and two well-fed putti pull him over a cushion of clouds. They seem a little clumsy, but that's why you immediately take them to your heart! This heartwarming scene is set in a filigree hand-forged frame of patinated silver. A small hallmark lets us locate the piece of jewellery to Florence, where it was created in the years around 1950, in the goldsmith's workshop of Figli di Vittorio Franconeri in Via Mannelli, 163 in the northeast of the city, founded in 1935. To us found the brooch from Münsterland - a fun gift for a loved one.
