The animal is represented in a gathered and unusual pose, with particular attention to anatomical prowess, volumes and muscle tension. The composition gives the subject a monumental presence, almost sculptural. The palette, characterized by ochre, browns and greenish-greys tones, is enhanced by an intense play of light and shadow that accentuates the plasticity of the forms. The work stands out for the originality of the compositional setup and for a figurative exploration that goes beyond simple naturalistic representation, privileging the expressive and material force of the subject. Conservation: General conditions as per photographs, with signs of aging visible on the painting surface. An artwork with a decisive character, ideal for collectors of contemporary figurative painting and animal subjects.
