Islamic Silver Ring with Engraved Green Turquoise 17th to...

Islamic Silver Ring with Engraved Green Turquoise – 17th to 19th Century AD An Islamic silver finger ring featuring a broad oval green turquoise stone with a worn engraved composition across its polished face. The blue-green surface contains darker markings and areas of abrasion that partially obscure the original design. A raised silver bezel follows the outline of the stone, with decorative bands and stylised motifs continuing around the sides of the setting. The shoulders incorporate small rounded ornaments and open spaces beneath the bezel, creating a sculptural transition to the narrower hoop. The silver displays localised darkening, scratches and wear, particularly within the recessed decoration. Its prominent stone and elevated setting give the ring a substantial appearance, while the surviving engraving remains insufficiently clear for a secure interpretation. Material: Silver and green turquoise Dimensions: Overall measurement 31 mm Weight: 11.69 g Provenance: Acquired in UK from a British private collection. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email. This item has been legally acquired under European Law.
