Organic sculpture from Wunderkammer — The lot presents an extraordinary black sea fan (order Alcyonacea), a fascinating marine organism from the depths of the Pacific Ocean. Also known as a "sea fan" for its iconic shape, this biogenic structure has been carefully prepared and mounted on a minimalist light wood base, elevating it to the status of a natural sculpture. Its notable dimensions and the complexity of its intertwining make it a high-value display piece, a bridge between the scientific world and interior design, capable of bringing the elegance of marine ecosystems into any environment. On closer analysis, the sea fan reveals its intricate and sophisticated architecture. From a central trunk, solid and firmly anchored to the base, a complex network of branches unfolds.
