Accept Innocente Salvini's painting (a renowned Lombard master famed for his visceral connection with the land, rural landscapes, and the atmospheres of his homeland); a painting (oil on rigid panel) that fully reflects his expressive maturity: The free, material brushwork: the painterly stroke does not aim for academic or photographic detail, but relies on a loose, thick, instinctive application. The brushstrokes are dense and vigorous, able to give physicality and depth to the walls of rustic buildings and to define architectural volumes through energetic contrasts and clear cuts of light. The use of earth tones: we find the painter's typical warm palette, dominated by earthy tones, ochres, and dense yellows that recall the rustic plaster and old rural masonry. These warm hues strongly contrast with the bright, intense green of the upper background, a bold chromatic stroke that gives the whole composition a barely suspended, vibrant, emotionally impactful atmosphere. The sign and structural synthesis: the openings, the sloping roofs, and the building's volumetry are a synthesis of solid forms. The shadow is not rendered with cold academic tricks, but is carved with dark, matte color transitions, highlighting that "color-sign" typical of Salvini's Expressionist and Verist painting. Dimensions of the painting approximately: 56 x 42 cm Frame dimensions (contemporary): 72 x 56 cm An work that condenses the evocative force of Lombard 20th-century landscape painting, where nature and rural architecture merge through the vitality of color. The painting will be shipped with tracked courier. N.B. The glass, if shipped, will be included as a gift. No returns accepted for glass breakage during transport.
