Incense Sticks No.3 (XL Edition) - Serge Horta

Incense Sticks No.3 (XL Edition) by Serge Horta Photograph 39.0 x 55.0 :: Colourful bundles of incense drying in the sun just before the start of Têt (Lunar New Year). This village in Vietnam has been making incense sticks for more than a century. This photograph shows the last stage of incense-making; after each individual stick is dipped several times in an aromatic pink paste it is then tied into bundles (or bouquets) before it's left to dry in the sun for a few days. Shot with a large aperture lens which creates a soft bokeh towards the edges of the image giving the impression that the incense field is infinite.
