A deep blue, natural sapphire and a white brilliant-cut diamond come together in this solid white gold ring as if in a dance. The juxtaposition of these two protagonists identifies the design as a so-called toi-et-moi piece of jewelry - a type of jewelry of the most romantic nature, which in the past usually served as a gift of love. As early as 1900, designs with two opposing, similar elements - be it gemstones or pearls - were very popular. People loved to play with symbols. In the understanding of the time, the gemstones were supposed to represent two lovers facing each other: Independent and yet inseparably connected, their unity symbolically immortalized in a piece of jewelry. In this ring from the 1970s, the two partners - a brilliant-cut diamond of around 1.20 ct with excellent color and clarity and a natural, one-and-a-half-carat sapphire - are set in 18-karat white gold. This lends the ring a fine, cool elegance. Nothing distracts from the two gemstones. The curved ring band holds the prong settings with beautiful dynamism and emphasizes the classic harmony of blue and white, extraordinarily enhancing the natural beauty of the stones.
