A composition of cephalopod mollusks dating from about 60-70 million years ago, when the terrible impact of an asteroid on Earth decreed the end of the Cretaceous–Paleogene period. The natural scenario that followed marked the end of many terrestrial beings but also fully involved the entire marine ecosystem. The devastating impact of the asteroid on Earth had among its most terrible consequences also the formation of numerous unusual waves that gathered on beaches and among the rocks shells of cephalopod mollusks. Looking at this composition one cannot help but be fascinated by the distinctive iridescent purple color. Suggestive.
