LARGE old icon depicting the "St. Nicholas the Wonderworker" and two other saints from the 20th century. Hand-painted with egg tempera colors or oil on a very heavy and sturdy wooden panel (see photos). The icon was completely handmade, following the usual methods of icon production. It was painted with the utmost fidelity to the model. The icon was produced in Eastern Europe (probably Romania) in the 1980s-1990s. A truly striking and exceptional icon, with fairly detailed painting technique (see photos). Perfectly coordinated color contrasts and successful shading. Particularly striking are the faces and robes of the saints. The icon is inscribed, the inscription is easy to read. The icon is in good condition with typical, age-related signs of wear (see photos). Heavy and sturdy wooden panel. A unique icon from the past century. All details are clearly visible in the photos.
