"The pleasure of living the Adventure...", Corto Maltese Thick, satin-finished art paper (approximately 250 grams). 68x68 cm Near/Mint A stunning piece by Hugo Pratt Christian Desbois "2002 Publisher Cong S.A.', titled "The pleasure of living the Adventure...", Corto Maltese Thick, satin-finished art paper (approximately 250 grams). 68x68 cm Near/Mint". This artwork is part of our carefully curated collection of fine lithographs and posters, distributed directly from the Netherlands. Hugo Pratt (Rimini, 1927 – Lausanne, 1995) is considered one of the greatest and most influential comic artists of the 20th century. He is the creator of the legendary sailor-adventurer Corto Maltese, an iconic series set in exotic locations around the First World War. Pratt’s unique, loose, and highly expressive drawing style combines adventure, melancholy, mysticism, and historical knowledge. His work is praised for its literary quality, beautiful black-and-white technique, and cinematic compositions. In addition to Corto Maltese, he created classics such as Wheeler & Fils, Jesuit Joe, and Scorpions du Désert. His influence extends far beyond the comic world (including on filmmakers such as Spielberg and Miyazaki).
