Huge Labba necklace - Silver, Glass - Yemen - Early 20th century
Large silver wedding necklace from Yemen, with decoration of filigree and granulation. Three hirz amulet pendants hung from the rectangular decorated boxes. Similar examples can be atributed to necklaces made in Najran, in Saudi Arabia, region that was some decades ago a part of Yemen territory. High grade silver and red glass cabochons. One of the ends of the central hirz is missing. From the first half of the 20th century. Provenance: European private collection. Dimensions: Length only silver: 45 cm Total length: 90 cm Pendants with dangles: 19 cm Weight: 922 gr
