EXCLUSIVE LOT FERRARI F1 (1/43) – Hot Wheels Elite – Very Limited & Numbered Series STRICTLY MINT (Mint in Box) A Prestige Lot for Demanding Collectors: Attention tifosis and purists of Formula 1 history. We present an exceptional and inseparable pair of two legendary Scuderia Ferrari single-seaters at 1/43 scale, produced by the high-precision division Hot Wheels Elite. These rare pieces come directly from the private collection of a major adult Ferrari enthusiast, guaranteeing meticulous care and absolutely pristine condition. Rarity and Limited Numbered Series: These models belong to world-exclusive, strictly limited series of 5,000 copies each. The specific chassis/series numbers of this lot reinforce their unique character: • Ferrari 158 F1 (John Surtees): Copy No. 1214 / 5000 • Ferrari 246 F1 (Mike Hawthorn): Copy No. 1419 / 5000 With Mattel having lost the exclusive rights to Ferrari licensing several years ago, the molds and tooling for the Hot Wheels Elite range have been permanently withdrawn from the market, making these pieces highly coveted collectibles. Absolute Mint Condition: The preservation state of this lot is simply impeccable, meeting the market’s strictest criteria: • History: The models have never been displayed, unnecessarily handled, or removed from their boxes, except for the sole purpose of taking photos for this sale. • Unaltered: Each box is free from any alterations. The original clear adhesive seals are still in place and intact, certifying the genuinely mint condition of the miniatures. • Protected environment: Kept since purchase away from light (no fading), dust, and thermal variations, in a strictly non-smoking atmosphere (no odor or yellowing). • External elements: The outer cardboard boxes, display bases, and plexiglass domes are in absolutely mint condition. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE PHOTOS: Macro photography captures attest to the lot’s impeccable state. Please note that the fine white lines or bright reflections visible on the showcases or boxes are due solely to light refraction on the plexiglass during photography. They are in no way scratches, defects, or alterations of the products. HISTORICAL AND TECHNICAL LOGIC OF THE MODELS: 1. Ferrari 246 F1 – Mike Hawthorn – Moroccan Grand Prix 1958 (Ref. T6277) • Real history: A historically significant car on more than one count. The Ferrari 246 F1 is the very first V6-powered F1 single-seater to win a Grand Prix. At the 1958 Moroccan Grand Prix, Mike Hawthorn took second place, earning the World Championship of F1. It is also the last engine-powered car to be crowned champion. • The Elite miniature: True to the real model, the level of detail focuses on the mythic engine architecture designed by engineer Vittorio Jano under the impulse of Dino Ferrari: a 65° V6 of 2,417 cm³ naturally aspirated, fed by three Weber double-barrel carburetors. The finesse of the thin metal-spoked wheels and cockpit details (wooden steering wheel and instrumentation) underscore Hot Wheels Elite’s excellence. Ferrari 158 F1 – John Surtees – Mexican Grand Prix 1964 (Ref. T6279) • Real history: Behind the wheel of the Ferrari 158 F1, the legendary John Surtees achieved one of the sport’s most spectacular feats by becoming the only driver in history to win World Championships on both two and four wheels – MotoGP and Formula 1. • The Elite miniature: This replica benefits from surgical finesse. Hot Wheels Elite accurately reproduces the integration of the famous 90° V8 of 1,489 cm³ (the Ferrari Type 205/B block) mounted longitudinally in a mid-rear position at the heart of a semi-monocoque chassis. The cooling intakes, direct injection system, and articulated suspensions faithfully reproduce the engineering that allowed Scuderia to secure Constructors’ and Drivers’ titles in 1964. LOGISTICS & PROFESSIONAL SHIPPING: • Ultra-secure shipping: The two display cases will be individually wrapped in several layers of thick, high-strength bubble wrap. The whole set will be cushioned with no possible movement inside a new rigid double-corrugated box. • Tracking & Insurance: Immediate shipment upon payment validation with a personalized international tracking number, signature on delivery, and appropriate insurance coverage for the final winning value.
