Giant, rare specimen of this size of Carcinoscorpius rotundicauda, commonly called the horseshoe crab, a marine arthropod whose history dates back more than 450 million years. This species, often described as a 'living fossil', has changed little since prehistoric times, making it a powerful symbol of evolutionary resilience. The specimen features the characteristic domed carapace and the long, rigid telson (tail spine), typical of the group.
