Hornby 00 - from set R696 - trainset (1) - 4-car Intercity 225 - British Rail Tested and working 2 axles powered Intercity 225 is the former designation of a British push-pull high-speed train type, which has been in service since 1990 on the East Coast Main Line. On the London-Edinburgh route it replaced the Intercity 125 from that year. The trainset consists of an electric locomotive with 8 carriages and a driving trailer. The name derives from the potential maximum speed of the trainset in km/h. In daily operation the maximum speed is 200 km/h (125 mph) due to the limitations of safety systems and power supply. Photos are part of the description Locomotives carry a 1-month warranty after purchase. If defective within 1 month from the Netherlands, returns are free of charge.
