HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 10 Dollars

HONG KONG (SAR). Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation. 10 Dollars, 1.1.1938. P-178a. KNB62m. PMG About Uncirculated 50. K prefix. Lovely large sized Ceres 10 Dollars in AUNC with a hand-drawn signature. Pre WW2 Hong Kong notes have always been popular with collectors, as that was the watershed between hand signed and printed signatures, together with the fact that many of the early notes were forcefully converted into Japanese Military Yen notes, forcing them out of circulation. Here we have the last year of the hand-signed $10 bearing the K prefix, a stunning note with great colours and light handling.
