Hollywood Regency Chimneypiece - 1970-1980 - fireplace screen

A beautiful and stylish vintage fireplace screen from the 1970s, produced in the sought-after Mid-Century Modern / Hollywood Regency style. This minimalist screen is made from heavy, thick tempered smoked glass (fumestaal) with a atmospheric, warm brownish-gray tint. The screen features an elegant, organically shaped handle on the top and a distinctive arched cutout at the bottom. The glass sits very stably in two heavy, solid brass clamp feet. When the fireplace is lit, the combination of the tinted glass and the glossy brass feet creates a beautiful, warm light and play of shadows in your interior. Condition: The fireplace screen is in used vintage condition. The glass has a chip / edge damage at one of the corners (see the latest enlarged detail photo). This does not affect the sturdiness or the function of the screen, but is an almost invisible trace of age and use. Otherwise in fine vintage condition for an object of this age.
