This mid-grade Series of 1882 $20 Date Back is one of only just two non-institutional pieces recorded for both the type and denomination and offers much despite the noted comments. Here bidders may behold crisp detail expressed by the primary vignettes seen at left and right while bold penned signatures attributable to Cashier R.C. West and President George Carmichael offer a quality often lost to humid climate of the region. For the collector who specializes in National Bank Notes and regularly seeks out pieces with good eye appeal and extant signatures, it takes hardly anything to reason that this is indeed a note not to be missed.
