Aiguière Art déco Airain – signed Herment – Belgium – circa 1930 Elegant Belgian decorative ewer/vase from the Art Deco period, probably made in the 1920s–1930s. The piece features a very original and slender form, with a long narrow neck with oblique opening, a large pierced handle and a pear-shaped body characteristic of Art Deco aesthetics. Beautiful glaze in brown-black, green, bronze and gold tones, with drips and patina effects that give great depth to the surface. The piece retains its old oval label “AIRAIN” applied on the neck. The front face also bears a handwritten signature “Herment”, clearly visible on the lower part of the body. Under the base there is a raised mark “BELGIUM”, accompanied by the number “2”. Origin: Belgium Era: around 1920–1930 Style: Art Deco Brand / label: AIRAIN Signature: Herment Mark under base: BELGIUM – 2 Material: ceramic / glazed earthenware Height: about 21 cm Weight: about 277 g Overall good condition considering age, with signs of use, small scratches, marks and surface wear, notably under the base. No chips or obvious restorations visible in the photographs. The photos are an integral part of the description and allow precise assessment of the piece’s condition. Beautiful decorative piece with a typically Art Deco design, of interest to lovers of Belgian ceramics, signed objects and antique decoration.
