Herend - Centrepiece - Queen Victoria - Porcelain

Splendid and important oval centerpiece in extremely fine porcelain, made and decorated entirely by hand by the prestigious Hungarian manufactory Herend. The piece carries the famous shape number 7482, identifying the monumental 40 cm-long variant, one of the most complex and spectacular of the factory due to its size and firing fragility. The decoration is the "Queen Victoria" (VBO), historically purchased by Queen Victoria in 1851. At the center and on the reserves stand floral bouquets and butterflies in a chinoiserie style, surrounded by a rich and brilliant trim in 23-karat gold. Two small chips in two rosebuds, barely visible (see last photo).
