Türkei, Hereke, Mitte 20. Jahrhundert. Flor und Kette aus feinster Naturseide, akzentuiert mit echten Silberfaden-Broschierungen. Äußerst feine Handknüpfung mit Silber-Flachgewebe. Prachtvoller Gebetsteppich aus der renommierten Hofmanufaktur-Tradition von Hereke. Das zentrale Innenfeld zeigt eine feingliedrige Mihrab-Nische auf silbrig-grauem Grund, gerahmt von einer elegant geschwungenen, terracotta-farbenen Kontur. Das Feld ist überreich verziert mit filigranen Blütenranken, Palmetten und floralen Motiven in sanften Nuancen von Minzgrün, Rostrot, Ocker und Salbei. Ein herausragendes Merkmal dieser Arbeit ist die Verwendung von flach gewebten Silberfäden, die sich im Hintergrund des Nischenfeldes sowie in den Zierbändern der Bordüre befinden und dem Objekt bei Lichteinfall einen spektakulären, metallischen Schimmer verleihen. Im Scheitel des Mihrab-Bogens befindet sich eine reservierte Inschriftencartouche in roter Thuluth-Kalligraphie auf hellgemustertem Grund mit der Meister-/Manufaktursignatur. Die breite Hauptbordüre auf warmem Terracotta-Fond ist als fortlaufendes Band kalligraphischer Cartouches in Hellgrün gestaltet, die Koransprüche bzw. religiöse Segenswünsche enthalten. Gerahmt wird die Hauptbordüre von zwei filigran geknüpften Nebenborden mit floralen Motivketten. Sehr guter Zustand mit vollem Seidenflor und leuchtenden Silberakzenten. Pile and foundation of the finest natural silk, enriched with genuine silver-thread brocading. Exceptionally fine hand-knotting with flat-woven silver elements. A magnificent prayer rug produced in the tradition of the renowned Hereke Imperial Court Manufactory. The central field features an elegant mihrab niche set against a silvery-grey ground, framed by a gracefully curving terracotta-colored outline. The field is lavishly decorated with delicate floral scrolls, palmettes, and intricate vegetal motifs in subtle shades of mint green, rust red, ochre, and sage green. A particularly remarkable feature is the use of flat-woven silver threads in the background of the mihrab field as well as within the ornamental bands of the border. These create a striking metallic shimmer when illuminated, greatly enhancing the rug's luxurious appearance. At the apex of the mihrab arch is an inscription cartouche executed in red Thuluth calligraphy on a light-patterned ground, bearing the signature of the master weaver or the manufactory. The wide main border, on a warm terracotta ground, is composed of a continuous sequence of pale green calligraphic cartouches containing Qur'anic verses and religious blessings. The main border is framed by two finely knotted subsidiary borders decorated with elegant floral motifs. Very good condition, retaining its full silk pile and brilliant silver highlights.
