Henk Welther (1885-1947) - Schitterend impressionistisch zomers boerderijtje

Splendid summer impressionist Dutch peasant scene with a peasant woman by her vegetable garden, chickens, a thatched shed, and an apple tree, painted in oil on canvas by Henk Welther, Delft 1885-1947 The Hague. The brothers Henk and Henri Welter were artistically active until Henri, as a sculptor, went bankrupt. His brother Henk changed his name to Henk Welther and used the pseudonyms H. Welther and H. Kakebeen from 1912 to 1947 when he was murdered. He painted and traded in landscapes, still lifes, and cityscapes that were sold a lot to the USA. Very nice and briskly painted summer impressionist work around 1920, in excellent condition and a canvas size of 40x30 cm.
