Hans Costa (1916-1986) - Pferdegespann

Hans Costa was born on December 29, 1916 in the Sudetenland (Moravian Lotschnau, Kreis Zwittau). He received a state stipend and studied at the art school in Brünn under Professor Langer, specializing in ecclesiastical painting. He undertook study trips to southern European countries as well as Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. During World War II he worked as a war painter in Poland, Russia and France. Even after the war the artist renewed his intensive study and mainly engaged with painters such as von Zügel, Braith and Mali. Thereafter he settled as a painter in Altdorf near Nürtingen (Baden-Württemberg), where he worked, among others, with Professor Lichtblau in Stuttgart. The artist has made a substantial name for himself with his animal motifs at home and abroad. The rural scenery, which today is sadly being displaced more and more by advancing motorization, is his main interest. He has a knack for depicting rural life in a fascinating and true-to-life way, like no other. He also used the names "Hans Nickel", "Hand Bräuning" and "Hanauska". The recordings were made in daylight and without any further filters. Please note that there may still be color deviations from the original depending on the display device.
