HAL SUNDAY (1930) - Two Hats on the Shore

HAL SUNDAY (1930) - Two Hats on the Shore - Mixed media on canvas Mixed media, Acrylic painting · Digital painting · Hand-signed · 2026 Two women walk barefoot on the sand, at the edge of tall grasses. The one in front wears a flowing white dress and a wide straw hat that hides her face; the one behind, in a tied bikini and an open pareo, follows a few steps behind. In the distance, a village perched on the cliff dominates the bay. One can sense a conversation that needs no words, a walk that has lasted since morning. The wind makes the fabrics flutter and the turquoise water remains calm behind them, as if not to disturb them. An summer canvas of freedom, where you would like to walk beside them. Mixed media: acrylic painting on an ink-pigmented print, varnish. Support: premium stretched canvas on a wooden frame, ready to hang. Format: 40 × 60 cm. Signed HAL SUNDAY · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · authenticity certificate provided. HAL SUNDAY is one of the creations bringing together the artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop, and free figuration. Under the name HAL SUNDAY, the Atelier rekindles the muted America of the 1930s-40s and the legacy of Edward Hopper: solitary figures, natural light sculpting the moment, inhabited silences and restrained melancholy, in the lineage of American scene painting. Each work is a unique piece. Instagram @atelierjoconde.
