This is an imposing beaked jug from the Hague-based Rozenburg porcelain factory. The jug has a notably large handle that runs all the way from the base to the beak. The object is 27 cm tall and 23 cm wide and features a hand-painted decoration of geometric shapes in yellow, brown, beige, light green, and light blue. This decoration is very special, because Rozenburg is primarily known for its floral décors. The jug was made in 1896 or 1897. It is signed with the factory logo and the work order number 947. Unfortunately, the year mark is illegible. The jug bears an engraving on the bottom: the curly letters VW and the number 344 or 399. This object has a tiny chip on the bottom, which is not visible from the front. However, the tip of the beak has undergone a professional restoration, and this is invisible. In short: a distinctive model with a distinctive decoration.
