GUSTAV PORŠ (CZECH 1888 - 1955) SNOWY LANDSCAPE Oil on canvas Signed (lower left) 74 x 104cm (29 x 40¾in.) Condition Report: The canvas is unlined and has slackened slightly within the stretcher frame. The stretcher marks are visible and there is some discolouration along the central, vertical section. Some undulations in the canvas are present to the corners. Scattered and minor areas of craquelure, but these do not detract from the viewing of the work. Inspection under UV reveals extensive fluorescing areas throughout, however it is probable that these are the original pigment. Surface dirt and a slightly discoloured varnish are present.
