Gustav Klimt: “Hygieia, 1901”. Authorized color offset litho, produced premium matte (non-reflective) and with high color intensity. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Format: 50 x 35 cm. The artwork by Egon Schiele shown here depicts “Hygieia”, the Greek goddess of health, holding a bowl with the serpent of Asclepius. The style is Art Nouveau, characterized by detailed garments, gold paint and decorative patterns. The original painting was lost during World War II. Egon Schiele was an important figurative painter of the 20th century from Austria. He produced an abundance of vibrant paintings and drawings, the vast majority of which depict the naked female form.
