Gucci - GG Marmont Matelassé Belt Bag - Handbag

A0000003032 We are putting up for auction an object of absolute desire, contemporary and highly discussed in the realm of luxury luggage and international fashion: an extraordinary and exceedingly elegant Gucci GG Marmont Belt Bag, belonging to the brand’s most revolutionary and successful design line under the acclaimed creative direction of Alessandro Michele, made in Italy. This exclusive high-end piece is crafted in the superb, coveted, and cutting-edge genuine calfskin in the iconic and vibrant Hibiscus Red finish, enhanced by the sophisticated geometric quilted Matelassé Chevron pattern and refined jewelry-grade metal details with a subtle brushed antique gold finish. A luxury urban fashion work of art that stands out for its clean lines and its perfect oval silhouette, conceived for the most demanding collections and wardrobes in the international market. The belt bag design is a display of extreme aesthetic fidelity, artisanal elegance, and avant-garde ergonomics: the piece measures perfectly styled dimensions of 18.0 cm wide, 12.0 cm high, and 3.7 cm deep, offering optimal interior capacity and unmatched lightness whether held in the hand or worn on the body. The delicate textured and supple Matelassé leather provides an unparalleled tactile experience and a natural optical sheen that cleanly contrasts with the front hardware, which bears the famous monogram of the overlapped double G in relief. As part of Gucci’s contemporary golden era, the bag breaks with the traditional sports-accessory format to become a haute couture jewel, complemented by a magnificent adjustable leather strap in size 85 (Medium) that allows for versatile wear at the waist or crossbody. But the true miracle of Florentine workshop craftsmanship lies hidden when you open the bag: its interior is fully lined with a sophisticated light microfiber fabric with a suede-like alcantara finish, designed specifically to optimize the visibility of the cavity and to protect belongings with maximum delicacy. The interior section includes a perfectly integrated superimposed flat pocket. A milestone of luxury industrial design destined to attract all eyes. Condition: Collection Quality / Excellent for Display (Mint Condition) The aesthetic, cosmetic, and mechanical condition of this piece is Excellent, typical of a display-piece cared for in a showcase: Exterior Leather and Stitching: The Hibiscus Red leather maintains its flexibility, smoothness, and original volume, completely free of cracks, fissures, deep scratches, stains, or color loss. The Chevron quilting stitches are symmetric and perfect, with not a loose thread. The edges, profiles, and lower corners are completely clean, showing none of the wear or rubbing typical of this model. Interior Space: The light microfiber lining is immaculate, with a superb velvety feel and completely free of any color transfer, cosmetic marks, pen marks, or dirt. Hardware and Mechanisms: The front double G logo retains its antique gold finish and its original matte patina with no signs of wear. The top metal zipper operates smoothly and fluidly, keeping the teeth aligned and the leather pull in optimal condition. Curious Fact for the Collector For appraisers and experts at Catawiki, Gucci GG Marmont Belt Bag models in Matelassé red hibiscus leather represent one of the most scarce, highly valued, and in-demand niches, produced under an artistic direction that redefined the concept of contemporary luxury accessories. The authenticity and traceability of this piece are absolutely guaranteed to the platform’s most expert eyes, presenting three official markers in precise alignment: the debossed seal on the back of the strap with the style number (476434), the leather code (DSVRT), the length (85), and the lot (493075); the interior heraldic tab “GUCCI / / made in italy”; and the high-security black textile tag hidden in the lining that houses the RFID microchip for brand protection. Finding a piece in such pristine conservation with perfectly legible leather and style codes — where all digital and physical markers remain intact — is a genuine rarity of the catalog that ensures a truly wild bidding potential in international auctions. Wishing you all the best of luck with your bids and a superb auction to all Catawiki participants.
