Great Britain King George V 1912-24, Watermark Simple Cypher A predominantly mint collection of the 1d. on stock cards with bright scarlet, deep bright scarlet and deep scarlet shades, some small varieties such as fluorescence and thin paper, brick-red shades with booklet panes, two showing inverted watermark, blocks of four (3), deep brick-red interpanneau block of four, vermilion shades, blocks of eight showing progressive change in shade, six in 'dry print' with control 'I 16' and four (3, two on uncalendared paper), inverted watermark single and 'Q' for 'O' in marginal pair [R4/11], pale red shades and marginal block of twelve and horizontal strip of three, both with watermark varieties, also block of four with inverted watermark, pale rose-pink shades and block of four, carmine red and bright carmine-red shades, scarlet vermilion singles including without watermark, watermark inverted and reverse, 'M 18' control, orange-vermilion horizontal marginal pair and two single shades; also Multiple Cypher scarlet fine used.
