GOLDSCHEIDER "Schreitende Tänzerin"

GOLDSCHEIDER "Schreitende Tänzerin"

Josef Lorenzl (Entwurf) / Goldscheider, Wien. Entwurf um 1937, Ausformung wohl um 1937/38. Keramik, heller Scherben. Polychrome Unterglasurbemalung. Glasurabplatzung (siehe Detailabbildung). Vgl. Robert E. Dechant/Filipp Goldscheider, Goldscheider. Firmengeschichte und Werkverzeichnis, Stuttgart 2007, S. 471, Modellnummer 7777F (dort dem Bildhauer Stefan Dakon zugeschrieben). | GOLDSCHEIDER "Walking Dancer" Josef Lorenzl (design) / Goldscheider, Vienna. Designed around 1937, executed probably circa 1937/38. Ceramic with a light-colored body and polychrome underglaze decoration. Gracefully striding female dancer standing on a black oval base, with short, wavy platinum-blonde hair. With both arms outstretched, she gathers the sides of her long, slit gown, creating a dynamic, fan-shaped arrangement of folds. The dress is decorated with a delicate red-brown lace and cellular pattern, while the close-fitting bodice features a contrasting dark lace design. Impressed model number "7777" and additional incised mark "7" on the underside of the base. Black factory mark "Goldscheider Wien / MADE IN AUSTRIA" and stamped artist's signature "Lorenzl." Dimensions: Height approx. 30 cm. Condition: Very good condition consistent with age. Minor chip and glaze loss to the lower rear hem of the dress (see detail photograph). Literature: Cf. Robert E. Dechant / Filipp Goldscheider, Goldscheider. Firmengeschichte und Werkverzeichnis, Stuttgart, 2007, p. 471, model no. 7777F (there attributed to the sculptor Stefan Dakon). SHIPPING TO THE USA MUST BE ARRANGED BY THE BUYER.
