Globe - Michelin globe - 1996 - 1990-2000

Beautiful globe, issued by Michelin in 1996 and a nice collector's item. This specific edition is entirely in Dutch, (as seen from terms such as 'Noord-Amerika, Oceaan and bevolking van de steden'). This is quite unique, as most Michelin promotional globes at the time were distributed in French or English. Although the cartography was designed by Michelin, the physical globe was produced in Denmark. Probably by the renowned globe maker Sanglobe. Material: the globe is made of impact-resistant polystyrene covered with a fine map layer, sits on a dark brown stand and is supported by a gold-colored meridian arc with degree markings. The globe is in good, working condition. Dimensions: Standard diameter: 30 cm. Total height: approx. 40 cm.
