Giuseppe Armani Florence Sculture d arte cold-cast porcelain sculpture titled April, designated as the Figurine of the Year for 1997. The composition depicts a young woman in a wind-swept sleeveless orange dress with small white floral accents, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and posed barefoot on a base modeled as a sandy shore with a stylized blue wave. The front of the ceramic base features an incised Giuseppe Armani script signature, while the reverse bears a blue crowned N mark above an incised copyright Florence mark. An oval gold and white adhesive label on the reverse identifies the piece as the 1973 Florence Figurine of the Year 1997. The underside of the dark-stained circular wooden base retains two printed paper labels, one reading 1973 F Florence sculture d arte Original Giuseppe Armani Figurines, and a second label identifying the piece as Art. 0121-C, Figurina Dell Anno 1997 - April, Made in Italy.
