Gibson J45 Standard, in Custom Color Cherry Red edition, usually aimed at Gibson’s semiacoustic models. Built on July 16, 2022 at the Bozeman (Montana, USA) factory and personally purchased by Carter Vintage Guitars, a famous Nashville shop, selected among many for its sound that is truly out of the ordinary. It features a solid Sitka spruce top with a four-layer binding, in a glossy finish, with tight, dense figure, and it boasts the traditional carved and hand-smoothed X-bracing. The belly bridge is Indian rosewood, as is the fingerboard, with mother-of-pearl dot inlays and frets produced with PLEK technology. The back and sides are solid Honduran mahogany. It is fitted with six chrome Grover for Gibson tuners that hold tuning impeccably. This version is also enhanced by upgraded electronics, the L.R. Baggs Element VTC, really faithful and reliable, with controls in the soundhole that do not alter its aesthetics. Weight balance is perfect: the guitar sits comfortably whether seated or standing, and the body shape makes it immediately comfortable. It proves to be very responsive to touch, with an excellent dynamic response. The tonal range is complete and without any frequency gaps. The sound texture is rich, without being overbearing, with the fundamental nicely in evidence. A touch of natural reverb and excellent sustain complete it, delivering a balanced, resonant, and extremely versatile instrument. Conditions are practically mint, with a professional setup just performed including a string change. Original hard case, exclusive to the custom order, included.
