Stunning summer impressionist Spanish village scene with a figure, the mountains in the background painted in oil on panel and signed in red at the lower right 'Zwart'. Very likely this is A.J. Zwart. Adrianus Johannes "Adrie" Zwart, Rijswijk 1903–1981 Laren (NH). He painted in the style of the Hague School, in an impressionist manner, many landscapes of the Netherlands as well as in Spain and France. This painting is from his Spanish period around 1950 and was en plein air, painted in oil on an oak panel. Excellent condition, in very beautiful colors and with a panel size of 40x30 cm.
