Marshall Islands Atoll post letter, stamped with Minr. 15 and handwritten cancellation Wotje Eanijen Rakijen 9.4.09 to Jaluit AkSt 28.4.09 In "Beiträge zur deutschen Atollenpost im Marshall- Archipel" by Dr. Laup and Friedemann (1929) a similar cancellation is described (from the Atoll Arno Figure 60 with the corresponding commentary from the above contributions pictured), also with the handwriting here from Captain Krümling, which in Jaluit also arrived on 28/4.09 and is there counted as category 1, i.e., genuine usage. If the ship from Arno had gone north toward Wotje and then around the western atolls again south toward Jaluit, the dates would also be explainable (Arno 27.3, Wotje 9.4 and then Jaluit 28.4.09 as shown on the overview map of the atolls above).
