Silver cabaret, made by George Hindmarsh of London. He was active from 1729 to 1743. George Hindmarsh specialized in making large silverware; trays, cabarets, and coffee pots are known to be by him. The cabaret (tray on legs) is beautifully decorated with scroll and floral motifs. It bears the first-quality assay mark, the London city mark, the master mark GH, and the date letter n for 1748. In the middle of the cabaret is engraved a family crest of a stork. The cabaret is solidly made and in excellent condition. Weight: 240 grams. Diameter: 16 cm.
