Georg Adam Scheid (GAS), Vienna - Cigarette box - .900 silver

Silver-plated cigarette case with a compartment for matches and a striker with a hole for a lanyard. Internal vermeil. The item bears the identifying marks of G.A.S., namely Georg Adam Scheid, the famous Viennese silversmith (1838-1921). His pieces are sought after and regularly appear at the world's most prestigious international auctions. The item has not been polished but presented as found to give the buyer the opportunity to decide whether to retain its original patina. Considering that it is over 100 years old, I think it can be described as in good condition. Tracked and insured shipment.
