Original antique paridur bust of a child's head, created by the well-known workshop Gebroeders van Paridon (GvP) in Amsterdam. This atmospheric figurine comes from their early, sought-after secular period (c. 1905-1920) in which they drew inspiration from classical and Baroque designs, before the atelier shifted to religious art. Studio: Gebroeders van Paridon, Amsterdam. Signature: Marked on the underside of the bust with the inscribed initials GvP and model number 510. Finish: Stunning, authentic bronze-green patina with a gold-colored gilded pedestal decorated with acanthus leaves. Provenance: Equipped with the original 'Paridur' material sticker and the rare, original shop sticker from the former 'Kunsthandel Jos de Graaff' (Gierstraat 47-53, Haarlem). Condition: In good and sound condition. The bronze patina on the face and the tip of the nose is completely intact, without the plaster-typical chips or white bare spots. Only very light signs of aging consistent with its age. See the photos for a precise personal impression. Dimensions: Height: 27 cm Width: 12 cm Depth: 9 cm Weight: 950 grams.
