GE-290A Lounge Chair by Hans J. Wegner

Designed by the legendary master of Danish modernism Hans J. Wegner in 1953, the GE-290A Lounge Chair represents a masterclass in ergonomic functionalism and honest timber craftsmanship. The architectural timber frame is celebrated for its dynamic, graphic profile, which is defined by wide, flat paddle-like armrests that highlight the organic beauty of the oak grain. It's an exceptionally versatile focal point, capable of grounding a cozy reading nook, a modern living room layout, or a peaceful breakout zone in a creative study. Built in Denmark with an uncompromised commitment to traditional joinery excellence and long-term durability, this chair represents an authentic slice of design heritage. It brings material clarity, structural honesty, and timeless Scandinavian sophistication to the contemporary home, now available at Rehaus. Condition Notes : The frame is clean, with no scratches, chips, or marks. All joints are sound, with no movement under pressure. The original Carl Hansen maker's mark is present and fully legible.
