GDA (Gérard

Add a touch of genuine nobility to your table or display with this enchanting Limoges porcelain service, made at the dawn of the twentieth century by the famed GDA (Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot) manufacture in collaboration with the prestigious Haviland name. Each individual piece is a hymn to refinement: the iconic double-handled cups and the subtly shaped saucers are adorned with a romantic, detailed floral bouquet in warm spring tones (yellow, purple and gold autumn leaves), typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The history of Limoges porcelain is inseparably linked to the great masters of French hard-pine-white porcelain. The house GDA (Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot), born in Limoges at the end of the 19th century, is renowned for supplying Europe and America’s most prestigious homes. Historical collaborations and evolutions with the Haviland family bear witness to the very high quality of the feldspathic paste and decoration, recognized in the Great Universal Exhibitions of the era for brightness, clarity and durability. The marks on the bottom — the green factory under-glaze stamp and the red decoration mark with laurel crown — confirm the traceability and authenticity of a highly sought-after antique piece by collectors worldwide. Complete sets for six people of this level, with balanced two-handled cups and a matching teapot, are extremely rare to find intact and in these splendid conditions. It is not just a refined object for special moments, but a true antiques investment designed to preserve and increase its value over time. Contains 13 pieces in total: • 1 Teapot / Server with lid (about 10 x 17.5 cm) • 6 Double-handled cups (bouillon/broth or tea) (about 6 x 12 cm) • 6 Octagonal-shaped saucers (about 2 x 14.5 cm)
