All auctions / Contemporary Art / Gabriele Bonasia - A Landscape
The painting depicts a Southern Italian landscape in an abstract style, showing a countryside filled with flowers, branches, and hedges intertwined in free, expressive forms. Oil paint on wooden panels adds texture and depth, with warm colors evoking the Mediterranean earth and light. This work belongs to a series of three related paintings, all inspired by the same abstract interpretation of the Southern Italian landscape. While sharing a common visual language of flowers, branches, hedges, and expressive gestures, each painting develops its own composition and atmosphere. The three works are currently offered individually at auction. Please note that the painting is sold unframed. The frame shown in the photographs is an IKEA SANNAHED frame and is used solely for presentation purposes to illustrate a possible display option. Buyers wishing to replicate the photographed presentation can purchase the SANNAHED frame separately from IKEA, where it is typically available for approximately €19 (subject to local pricing and availability). GABRIELE GABON BONASIA Contemporary abstract painter transforming natural and emotional landscapes into textured, expressive surfaces. His works are created through mixed media techniques using paints, plaster, and wooden panels, shaped with palette knives and brushes in a balance of gesture and materiality. Through layered textures and intense colors, he evokes spaces suspended between memory, nature, and abstraction. Each piece becomes a tactile and immersive visual experience.
